Even in the Gaza Strip, "the largest open-air prison in the world," the spirit can find freedom. And the most free sprits are those of the surfers in Gaza: a diehard group who discovered in the sea, despite it being the confine of their prison, a way of making sense of life and of searching for their own freedom. Ibrahim should become a fisherman, but he dreams of obtaining a visa to pursue his passion in Hawaii. Once reached puberty Sabah had to wear the hijab and renounce her swimsuit and surfboard, but she doesn’t give up. Through their stories and their eyes, this hope and energy-filled film opens up the possibility of an alternative space, even in the middle of war, violence and uncertainty.
