From Book To Film is the event of Bio to B - Industry Days organised in collaboration with CNA Emilia-Romagna to be held at Dams Lab - Piazzetta Pier Paolo Pasolini (Bologna) on 12 June 2024 focusing on the search for stories for audiovisual works with publishers, literary agents and film producers as protagonists, divided into the following appointments
ADAPTATION MARKET - The networking event dedicated to film adaptation and transposition rights, where you can propose, sell and acquire published stories and original subjects for both the publishing and audiovisual markets. Catalogue of publishing players available on our website.
NETWORKING LUNCH - Lunch break to continue and explore mutual understanding between editorial and film Players. A welcome drink by CNA Cinema e audiovisivo Emilia Romagna opens the lunch.
WORKSHOP - To foster dialogue between publishers and producers held by editor and writer Barbara Gozzi (Book on a Tree). The workshop will consist of two parts:
- Una cover non fa primavera (ma magari inverno)
- Ti racconto una storia (una sola?!?)
FICTION FACTORY - Showcase of original fictional subjects for cinema and publishing. The projects will be selected through a call for entries opening on Monday 11 March 2024, deadline on Sunday 7 April 2024. Selected subjects will be announced from the first weeks of May 2024.
CASE STUDY - Gabriella Gallozzi will recount the experience of Bookciak Legge, the film-literary prize that through Bookciak, Azione! transforms texts by Italian authors published by independent publishers into short films and awards them at Venice Days as part of the Venice Film Festival. The case study will focus on the importance and necessity of "betrayal" in the transpositions of editorial content into visual works
