MONDAY 17TH JUNE the 20th edition of Biografilm closes with the replays of two winning films and the last screening
At 4 p.m. at the BIOGRAFILM HERA THEATRE | Pop Up Cinema Arlecchino there will be the repetition of The Roller, The Life, The Fight by Elettra Bisogno and Hazem Alqaddi, winner of the Best Film BPER Award | Biografilm Italia 2024, prize given to the best film of the Biografilm Italia Competition. A sadly topical look at a collective phenomenon through the stories of Elettra and Hazem. Both arrive in Belgium, he after a painful journey from Gaza, she to study cinema.
At 6.30 p.m., the BIOGRAFILM HERA THEATRE | Pop Up Cinema Arlecchino will host the repetition of The Sweet East by Sean Price Williams, winner of the Audience Award | Biografilm Beyond Fiction - Oltre la finzione 2024, Audience Award for the best film in the Beyond Fiction - Oltre la finzione section. The director stages a picaresque journey through the cities and forests of the US East Coast, following Lillian, a high school girl who embarks on a road trip in search of America.
On the occasion of World Refugee Day, Tell Them About Us by Rand Beiruty will be screened at 9 p.m. at the BIOGRAFILM HERA THEATRE | Pop Up Cinema Arlecchino. The director, in his first film, follows a group of Arab, Kurdish and Roma girls (who write and perform the scenes) as they navigate the complexities of culture, friendship and self-discovery in the province of East Germany. The screening, organised in collaboration with ASP Città di Bologna, BolognaCares!, the managers of Bologna's Project SAI, and curated by Arca di Noè for Consorzio l'Arcolaio, is closed to children under 14 and accessible to TEEN season ticket holders.
