Day 9 - Saturday, June 15

The second weekend of Biografilm opens with this extraordinarily rich day among documentaries, fictions, thrillers and musical biopics.


We start at 4:45 p.m. at Cinema Lumière - Sala Mastroianni with ... ned, tassot, yossot … by Brigitte Weich, which discreetly examines the structures of control in a dictatorship like North Korea, adding depth to the often somewhat grotesque image of this country. The director will be present along with playwright Andrea Wagner.

At 5:30 p.m. at Cinema Lumière - Sala Scorsese there will be the world premiere of L'ultima isola by Davide Lomma, the story of eight friends who go out in a boat at midnight but find themselves on a nine-meter boat with more than three hundred people at sea. It is October 3, 2013, the day of one of the greatest tragedies in the Mediterranean Sea. The screening will take place in the presence of the director and the protagonist Vito Fiorino.

At 6:00 p.m. at BIOGRAFILM HERA THEATRE | Pop Up Cinema Jolly 4K, the film Non riattaccare by Manfredi Lucibello. It's the story of Irene on a night of the pandemic, forced to set out across a ghostly city, never hanging up, following a phone call from her ex that presages a desperate act. The director, the protagonist Barbara Ronchi and producers Manetti Bros and Pier Giorgo Bellocchio will be present.

At 6:45 p.m. at BIOGRAFILM HERA THEATRE | Pop Up Cinema Arlecchino features the world premiere of Un carnevale dei pazzi, dei sedotti e degli abbandonati by Filippo D'Angelo and Mauro Ermanno Giovanardi, in the presence of the directors, the journalist Luigi Bertaccini and the producer Enrico Croci. Through documents, live footage and interviews, the documentary offers testimony to the adventure of Carnival of Fools, a punk rock band from the creative musical magma of the 1980s.

We continue at Cinema Lumière - Sala Mastroianni at 7:00 p.m. with the world premiere of Un milione di granelli di sabbia by Andrea Deaglio, screening in collaboration with Biblioteca Italiana delle donne - Associazione Orlando and Casa delle donne. The director, the protagonist Eva Pattis Zoja e the psychoanalyst and educator of Lo Spazio Psicoanalitico Paolo Cruciani will be present.

At 7:45 p.m. at Cinema Lumière - Sala Scorsese there will be My First Film by Zia Anger, autobiography of a debut, an examination of art and egocentrism, a study of the figure of a filmmaker, in which memory and fantasy, documentary and fiction, mingle in the work of the filmmaker and her alter ego Vita (Odessa Young).

The night continues at 9:30 p.m. at Cinema Lumière - Sala Mastroianni with Südtirock - Suoni di confine by Armin Ferrari and Jadel Andreetto, in the presence of the directors and the writer Wu Ming 2.

Also at 9:30 p.m., at Chiostro del Complesso di Santa Cristina "della Fondazza", the film E.1027 - Eileen Gray and the House by the Sea by Beatrice Minger and Christoph Schaub, in collaboration with Biblioteca Italiana delle donne - Associazione Orlando. Director Beatrice Minger will be present.

Concluding this day, at 10:30 p.m. at Cinema Lumière - Sala Scorsese there will be Kneecap by Rich Peppiatt, introduced by Prof. Gino Scatasta.
