Biografilm Festival is proud to be a part of CINEVASIONI.EDU, the project conceived and organized by the Center for Creative Development of the CORSO DOC Association in Bologna with the aim of bringing cinema to places such as prisons, hospitals and schools, while also creating educational opportunities dedicated to students.
The initiative, chosen by MIC and MIM as part of the project funded by the "National Cinema Plan for Schools-project of Territorial Relevance", aims to highlight the importance of the language of cinema not only as an art form, but also as a tool to escape from everyday life.
The CINEVASIONI.EDU project, which adheres to the Emilia-Romagna Legislative Assembly's "conCittadini" pathway, includes screenings and activities at the "Rocco d'Amato" Prison, the Ospedale Maggiore in Bologna, the Odeon cinema in Bologna and the Donfiorentini cinema in Imola, as well as in several schools in Emilia-Romagna.
Also part of the initiative is "Premieres in the Hospital", a film showcase curated by Filippo Vendemmiati with the collaboration of the Biografilm Festival team, which will begin on Friday, January 20 at 3 p.m. at the Aula Magna of the Ospedale Maggiore: ten films, distributed in Italy by I Wonder Pictures and Unipol Biografilm Collection, will be presented by directors and film critics. Among the titles that will be presented by the respective director(s) are La timidezza delle chiome by Valentina Bertani, , We Are The Thousand - l’incredibile storia di Rockin’1000 di Anita Rivaroli by Anita Rivaroli and Easy Living – La vita facile by Orso and Peter Miyakawa.
The screenings are dedicated to the hospital patients with family members and companions, medical and administrative staff, and students from participating in-hospital schools and secondary schools.
