Thanks to the precious collaboration with MeetMarket of Sheffield DocFest (June 13-14), film professionals will be able to take part in both markets, a true relay race between the two markets, in order to facilitate the circulation of documentary projects and the participation of the main players of the field.
The call for projects for this year will open on March 4th, keep your eyes peeled for that!!
As part of Bio to B, the Make It Real Award will be presented again this year, recognising professionals who have distinguished themselves in the field of documentary film production and distribution. In 2024, this prestigious award will go to Signe Byrge Sørensen for her great efforts in discovering, following and supporting filmmakers of the calibre of Joshua Oppenheimer (The Act of Killing,The Look of silence - Grand Jury Prize at Venice 71) and Jonas Poher Rasmussen, author of the Oscar®-nominated animated documentary Flee. Signe Byrge Sørensenis also the producer of the highly anticipated new film The End by Joshua Oppenheimer, starring Tilda Swinton, Michael Shannon and George Mackey, which has yet to be released.
To mark the occasion, the Danish producer will hold a masterclass on her journey in the world of documentary production for the entire accredited audienceə of Bio to B - Industry Days 2024.
