Events
Not just cinema: discover all the parallel events in the program of the 22nd edition of Biografilm. The festival further establishes itself as a cultural and social hub — a multifaceted, constantly evolving space open to different art forms, and a meeting ground for both new audiences and longtime supporters.
Biografilm Poetry
For the first time this year, the festival is dedicating an entire day to poetry. A natural opening, almost a necessary one: poetry as an essential form of storytelling, capable of moving through lives without representing them directly, of capturing their rhythm, fractures, and intensities. A space where language works through subtraction, resonance, and vision.
Biografilm Podcast Award
Biografilm Festival shines a spotlight — or rather, turns on the microphones — on an essential protagonist of contemporary storytelling: the podcast. And it does so with an entirely new voice. The Biografilm Podcast Award is born, a prize dedicated to original podcasts that tell stories of lives and experiences through the evocative power of voice, sound, and imagination.
IWONDERFULL Talks
Cultural discussion events curated by IWONDERFULL, in collaboration with The Italian Review.
Biografilm off-screen for Lido Ruggine
During the Festival, Lido Ruggine will host a series of events organized in collaboration with Biografilm: open drawing sessions, talks on comics, and live music performances will welcome the public to a space for gathering and creative exploration.
Exotica. L'immaginario sonoro nella Venezia del Seicento
A talk discussing the documentary film Exotica: The Story of Irene e il colore fa la Regina (2026; directed by D. Brotto, screenplay by P. Dessì), an example of the artistic adaptation of research findings from a project on otherness in music within 17th- and 18th-century Venetian opera.
