The project with Fiadda Emilia - Romagna

The collaboration with FIADDA Emilia-Romagna (Coordination of Associations for the Rights of Deaf People and Families) grows stronger each year, with the aim of raising public awareness about the right of deaf people to participate in socio-cultural life, breaking down communicative barriers that limit their inclusion.

With the conviction that all individuals with hearing disabilities should be able to freely attend cinema screenings whenever they wish, the Festival’s commitment this year increases with the introduction of accessible subtitling for all films in the Biografilm Italia section, real-time subtitling for all discussions in the same section, and the FIADDA Award, which will be assigned to the film deemed of greatest interest by a jury composed of deaf individuals.
