Here Benito Mussolini was born and here his body was brought back years after his death, becoming a place of pilgrimage for nostalgics of the infamous 'ventennio'. A city prisoner of a dystopia in reverse. In an attempt to reverse this destiny, Giorgio Frassineti, mayor of Predappio from 2009 to 2019, has pursued a dream: to convert the old Casa del Fascio, former party headquarters, into a museum and study and documentation centre on fascism and totalitarianism.
