The project
Stories of Life is the Adaptation Market’s space dedicated to stories rooted in real-life experiences: people, places, and relationships at the heart of narratives capable of transforming the intimate into the universal, and of making the journey from page to screen.
Stories of Life is a structured programme of one-to-one meetings and matchmaking sessions between publishers, agents, and producers, designed to facilitate:
- rights acquisition and optioning
- audiovisual project development
- scouting for new IP
The market will bring together major publishing groups, independent publishers, and literary agencies, each with a story to tell.
Stories of Life is an invitation to share, listen, and build a collective memory, because every life, when well told, sheds light on our own as well.
The 2026 catalogue features a selection of IPs that have already been published or are forthcoming, deeply rooted in real life and the human experience. Presented by publishers and literary agencies, these works offer strong adaptation potential for film, television series, and digital platforms.
