Bio to B | Drama: Two Days Dedicated to Development, Adaptation and the Future of the Audiovisual Industry

10 June 2026

The first two days of Bio to B | Drama, the professional programme dedicated to the audiovisual industry within Bio to B – Industry Days, have come to a close.

The programme opened with Adaptation Market, a series of speed meetings designed to foster connections between producers and publishing professionals, creating new opportunities around stories and intellectual properties ready to make the leap to the screen.

Among the highlights, Filippo Ghiglione presented The Walrus | IP-To-Screen Bureau, a platform created to support professionals in the discovery, organisation and enhancement of intellectual properties, facilitating connections between content developers and the audiovisual market.

Sustainability was also at the centre of the discussion with “Green Festivals in Emilia-Romagna – Guidelines, Results and Future Perspectives”, a panel exploring practical tools, challenges and future opportunities for the cultural sector, drawing on the experiences of Biografilm and the Emilia-Romagna Film Commission as case studies.

The second day focused on the creative and production processes behind audiovisual projects. The panel “Who Develops the Story? Story Editors, Creative Producers and the New Development Ecosystem” explored the increasingly strategic role of the professionals involved in shaping projects, highlighting how the evolving industry is transforming the ways stories are conceived, developed and brought to market.

In the afternoon, the workshop “From the Industry: Building a Pitch that Speaks to the Market” offered participants practical insights into turning a creative idea into a compelling proposal capable of attracting partners, financiers and decision-makers. The session provided useful tools for crafting clear, effective pitches aligned with the needs of today’s audiovisual market.

Through networking opportunities, training sessions and professional exchange, Bio to B | Drama once again confirmed its commitment to fostering dialogue between creativity and industry, bringing together key players from across the audiovisual sector and providing concrete tools to navigate its ongoing transformations.
