Carolina Pezzini is a film producer at Berta Film across shorts, feature films, and documentaries. In 2021 she made her producing debut with Giovanni Ortoleva’s short film, Self Portrait with a Gun (Autoritratto con arma), which won the prestigious Premio Olmi award and was selected for the Torino Film Festival. In 2022, she conceived the original cconcept for the feature film Duse by Pietro Marcello, produced by Palomar and Avventurosa and starring Valeria Bruni Tedeschi, with Berta Film serving as associate producer. She has produced several documentaries, including: La Fabbrica dell’Italiano (2021), Galileo (R)evolution (2023). Both titles were selected for the Festival dei Popoli and, the first one, broadcasted on Sky Italia. In 2023, she produced the documentary series Mano D’opera, commissioned by the MAECI (Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs), which explores the excellence of Italian craftsmanship within the nation’s most prestigious Opera Houses. In 2023, she continued her collaboration with Giovanni Ortoleva, producing his second short film, Innocent Days, funded by SIAE. Currently, she is focused on scaling her international reach through strategic co-productions with partners in France. In autumn 2025 she shot her first international coproduction with France: a shortfilm Métamorphoses au féminin starring Noemi Merlant, directed by Maria Gimenéz Cavallo (formerly assistant director to Pietro Marcello and editor to Abdellatif Kechiche) with whom she also attended Biennale College 2025 with her first feature film currently in development titled Piggy Baby. She is also collaborating in the author’s second feature film Recipe for Happiness.
