In Bellaria, a small town on the Romagna Riviera, Giovanni and Simone share a suspended, in-between time. Bound by a love of hip hop culture and a nonconformist spirit, they were drawn to each other from the start. Giovanni lives there year-round, works at his mother’s bar, and watches tourism wash over the town like an inevitable tide; Simone is just passing through, drawn by the sea and unsettled by the thought of an upcoming absence. As they share their last moments before parting, the town’s elders seem to have already seen this story play out. Old legends resurface, breathing life back into the places pictured on vintage Bellaria postcards. A railway crossing breaks the story’s linearity: winter images in the fog, visions of simulated fairgrounds, and virtual connections burst in. Memories are called into question by reality.
