We are proud to announce a new prestigious collaboration for Bio to B – Industry Days | Drama: the Giorgio Bassani Foundation joins the Fiction Factory Audience Award, which will officially become the Bassani Award.
Giorgio Bassani was one of the Italian authors who most deeply embodied the dialogue between writing and images, between literary storytelling and audiovisual adaptation, with works such as The Garden of the Finzi-Continis or short stories like The Gold-Rimmed Spectacles and A Night in 1943, all adapted for the screen and turned into celebrated films.
The bridge he created between page and cinema is precisely the drive towards transformation that the Fiction Factory Showcase seeks and values.
On the 110th anniversary of the writer’s birth, the Bassani Award is created to honour this vocation and will be awarded to the best original concept capable of existing both on the page and on the screen. The selected project will receive a €1,000 cash contribution dedicated to development.
With your original concept, you could win the Bassani Award! Read the call for entries now and submit your project by March 29.
