CALAMARO EDIZIONI is an independent publishing house based in Bologna, founded in February 2019. It focuses on socially engaged fiction, social essays, and the promotion of emerging authors, standing out in the Italian publishing scene for its choice of social themes: immigration, incarceration, social spaces and community centers, colonialism, anti-fascism, and the mafia. We like to think of ourselves as a matchmaking agency for books and readers, standing against the wear and tear of modern publishing.
