Narrated by Milena Vukotic, Sguardi in camera is a documentary series that tells the story of Italy through images and emotions, offering us small glimpses of great stories captured on small-gauge film. It is a tale of hopes and disappointments, of utopias and disillusionment, filmed by surprising narrators: Italians with a camera, often unaware protagonists and witnesses of their time. This series of stories is the result of a collective, choral experience of those who observed reality through the lenses of amateur movie cameras: gazes in which we can rediscover—whether in the foreground or in the background—crucial moments and aspects of our country’s history.
