The Winning Generation
Filmed over 12 years, the film follows Shahen Harutyunyan’s evolution from a 14-year-old activist to a rising political leader. Carrying the legacy of his father’s and grandfather’s fight for Armenian independence, Shahen has their same desire for political justice and he reshapes their tradition of resistance into a new democratic vision. While Armenia undergoes a phase of political instability, Shahen seeks to forge his own path and counter Russian influence, redefining the meaning of the fight for freedom. In June 2026, he will run in the national elections with his own party, marking the first step toward a change led by a new generation.
