Following the conclusion of the Festival’s 22nd edition, Biografilm continues its journey across the local area with Biografilm in the Square, a free-entry film series bringing a selection of the most acclaimed titles from the 2026 edition to public squares and community spaces throughout the Bologna metropolitan area.
Organized in collaboration with Le Piazze Shopping Centre in Castel Maggiore and the Municipality of Castenaso, the initiative features six evenings of open-air cinema dedicated to stories that explore the contemporary world through diverse perspectives, personal experiences, and extraordinary life journeys.
From June 16 to 18, screenings will take place at Le Piazze Shopping Centre in Castel Maggiore, while from June 19 to 21 the programme will move to Castenaso, reaffirming Biografilm’s commitment to engaging with local communities and making arthouse cinema increasingly accessible and widespread across the region.
All screenings are free to attend, subject to venue capacity.
An opportunity to experience once again on the big screen some of the stories that animated this year’s Festival and to continue sharing, beyond the cinema theatre, the spirit of dialogue, discovery, and participation that has always been at the heart of Biografilm.
