Biografilm Generazioni Digitali: over 800 students take part in the project dedicated to careers in cinema

23 June 2026

On June 8, as part of Biografilm Festival, the final event of Biografilm Generazioni Digitali, the territorial project dedicated to media education and the discovery of careers in the film industry, took place.

The event opened with the screening of a video showcasing the activities carried out throughout the year and was introduced by Chiara Boschiero, Scientific Coordinator of the project for Biografilm, Giulia Serinelli representing the Italian Ministry of Education and Merit and the Ministry of Culture, Marco Cucco from the University of Bologna, and producer Marianna Panebarco, who took part in the workshops held in schools.

From December to June, through teacher training sessions and classroom workshops, the project engaged more than 800 students across Emilia-Romagna, Basilicata, and Sicily. The activities focused on exploring careers in the film industry as a way to broaden young people’s horizons and encourage greater awareness of gender equality, inclusion, and the ethical use of media.

The project was developed through a comprehensive digital educational toolkit and access to the I Wonder Scuole streaming platform, providing teachers and students with practical tools to deepen their understanding of audiovisual language and its impact on contemporary society.

The event concluded with the world premiere screening of Riusciranno i nostri eroi – Il Cinema di Age & Scarpelli by Marco Spagnoli, attended by the director and members of the film’s crew.
