Founded in Paris in 2025 by producer Vladislav Ketkovich and director Alexander Markov, Verba Films develops and produces international, independent films with a strong artistic focus.
The company works across documentary and fiction, combining author-driven storytelling with projects rooted in contemporary social and political realities. Particular attention is given to cinematic language, innovative forms, and stories emerging from complex and often underrepresented contexts.
Building on the founders’ extensive international experience, Verba Films collaborates with filmmakers and partners across Europe and beyond, including artists working in exile. The company is currently developing a slate of projects for both cinema and television, aiming to reach international audiences and contribute to a broader dialogue on history, memory, and freedom.

A producer originally from Russia, Vlad is a graduate of several European producer workshops, including EuroDoc, Ex-Oriente, Documentary Campus Masterschool and EAVE (2017). He has produced and coproduced more than 30 films with various European countries. The films have been screened and awarded at numerous major festivals, including IDFA, CPH:DOX, HotDocs, Zurich, EL Gouna, Krakow, DokLeipzig, DocAviv, Shanghai, and have been broadcast on ARTE, ZDF, WDR, BBC, MDR, ORF, YLE, SVT, VPRO, Czech TV, and The Guardian. He left Russia shortly after the outbreak of the war in Ukraine in 2022 and settled in Paris, where he was granted political asylum and now works as a production manager.
