Established in the late 1970s, the Fondazione Archivio Audiovisivo del Movimento Operaio e Democratico ETS works in the audiovisual field (cinema, TV, multimedia, film and photo archives) to promote collective memories of social movements. Its first president was Cesare Zavattini; co-founder Paola Scarnati served as general secretary for a long time.
The Foundation focuses on researching, collecting, preserving, and producing historical and stock audiovisual documents, promoting their study and reuse. It organizes research, conferences, exhibitions, and edits specialized publications. It also provides training and educational activities for schools on cinema culture and archives.

Author, producer, and cultural manager, he has been working at the intersection of cinema and public history since the early 2000s. He has developed extensive experience in the strategic coordination of cultural and production activities within both for-profit and non-profit organizations in the film and audiovisual sectors. He specializes in the enhancement and reuse of audiovisual archives, as well as in the design of integrated and sustainable platforms for cultural production and heritage valorization. He has held senior responsibilities in documentary production, the coordination and direction of events and festivals, the development of institutional partnerships, and the management of resources and multidisciplinary teams.
