Leonardo Barrile is an Italian producer and CEO of Samarcanda Film, co-founded with Francesco Favale. He studied Arts, Cinema, and Television in Palermo and further specialized in film and TV industry studies at the University of Padua. Barrile previously worked at Albatross Entertainment as executive producer, creating popular prime-time series for RAI and RTI. He oversees international partnerships and creative development at Samarcanda Film. Recognized among Europe’s emerging documentary producers at Ji.hlava International Documentary Festival (2022), he became a voting member of the European Film Academy in 2024.
