Lavah Film is an independent production company based in Bosnia and Herzegovina, founded in 2021. Specialising in documentary and auteur-driven cinema, the company has grown rapidly into an internationally recognised production house. Over the past five years, Lavah Film has built strong partnerships with regional Balkan broadcasters as well as major European networks, and has developed co-productions with partners across multiple countries. Their films have screened at over 30 international festivals and have received numerous awards. Alongside feature documentaries, Lavah Film also develops documentary series and TV formats for international markets. Since 2025, the company has expanded its activities to the Middle East, where it is actively developing new projects.

Sabahet Dzafica (b. 1986) is a Bosnian film director and screenwriter with a Master’s degree in Audiovisual Arts from the Academy of Arts in Belgrade. After building a successful career in Bosnia and Germany, he gained international recognition for his socially-conscious documentary films, which have screened at over 30 international festivals in more than 20 countries. A member of the Association of Filmmakers in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dzafica continues to expand his work across borders, with an active slate of documentary films, TV series and TV formats in development across Europe and the Middle East.
