Separated for two years, Sophie and Eric share custody of their three children. In 2007, after spending a weekend with her father, seven-year-old Margaux tells her mother that Eric’s friend Didier kissed her on the mouth. Her brothers support her account. Sophie files a complaint against both men, but the investigation finds no evidence and the case is dismissed. The children are temporarily placed in foster care before custody is granted to Eric. Convinced that abuse has taken place, Sophie begins recording her children as they describe further alleged acts, then sends the videos to the authorities. The accusations are rejected due to inconsistencies and the absence of material proof. Eric, in turn, accuses Sophie of manipulating the children. As the recordings circulate online, the case sparks intense public division. Sophie and her stepfather are eventually convicted of false accusations. Years later, as adults, the children speak of indoctrination. Eric dies in 2023, leaving behind a family permanently fractured by conflicting truths at the heart of the story.
