Company Kiné Società Cooperativa Kiné is a film and audiovisual production company founded by cinema professionals to create high-quality films and documentaries focused on memory, personal stories and social issues. With over 15 years of experience, the company is growing through international co-productions in both documentary and fiction. Its credits include The Train to Moscow, The Man with the Lantern, Stories of Half-Light, Il Varco — presented at Venice and awarded at the European Film Awards — Caterina, Ghosts of Ferrania, Pluto, The Properties of Metals — premiered at Berlinale Generation — and Charlotte, One of Us. In 2025, its archive documentary series Sguardi in camera premiered at the Rome Film Fest.

Claudio Giapponesi (1980), has a degree in Communication Sciences from the University of Bologna with a thesis on film restoration. Since 2009 he has been in charge of the Bologna office of Kiné with the aim of promoting the production of creative documentaries and arthouse films. Over the years he has gained particular experience in the production of films with archival materials. He has produced more than 15 documentaries and films, presented in the most important festivals in Italy and abroad. He has participated in Rotterdam Lab, Torino Film Lab, Biennale College Cinema and EAVE. He is a member of the European Film Academy. He regularly lectures in training courses and university masters.
