Class 1995, Matteo Petecca is an italian screenwriter. He attended the National Film School in Rome (Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia), where he wrote the screenplay of different shorts, like Roman Nights (Notte Romana), premiered at 2021 Venice Film Festival, or A Cospiracy Man (Il Barbiere Complottista), winner of the first prize at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, La Cinef. Both shorts were David di Donatello nominees. Based on this short movie, he wrote the screenplay for a feature film, Il Complottista (2025). Today he is writing another movie, Sumoboy.
