In 2009, Alessia Petitto began working as an archive researcher. She attended training courses at the Cineteca di Bologna, FIAF, and the INA, deepening her knowledge of the various aspects of archival footage management, from film restoration to rights clearance. A member of the FOCAL International professional network, she worked on archive research for Martin Eden, directed by Pietro Marcello; Marx Can Wait, directed by Marco Bellocchio; and Leonora Addio, directed by Paolo Taviani. She teaches at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, the Fondazione Civica di Milano, the University of Rome Tor Vergata, the University of Udine, and within the Luce Lab courses organized by Cinecittà.
