Director Maurizio Nichetti receives Celebration of Lives Award 2025. At Biografilm festival 2025 the world premiere of the documentary about him.

Arriving in Bologna to collect the Celebration of Lives Award, Biografilm's lifetime achievement award, is Maurizio Nichetti, director, screenwriter, producer, actor, mime, winner of a David di Donatello and three Nastri d'argento, who exploded in 1979 with Ratataplan, a low-budget debut feature that became a cult.

At Biografilm the world premiere of the documentary about him, Nichetti quantestorie by Stefano Oddi.The film traces the milestones of the Milanese director and actor's career, following his return behind the camera with the recent Amichemai, his first film 20 years after his last directorial effort. Through archival materials, clips from his films and personal testimonies, the film recounts an author capable of revolutionizing cinematic language with irony, innovative techniques and a surreal touch. A journey into the heart of a visionary, poetic and unmistakable cinema, between fairy tale, reality and experimentation.
