MONDAY, June 10, the events continue, on and off screens. These include the first day of Bio to B – Industry Days, the audiovisual marketplace that Biografilm dedicates to cine-television players. Within the works of Bio to B will also be held for the first time a parallel program organized by Ji.hlava IDFF and supported by Emilia-Romagna Film Commission: the third session of the Emerging Producers program dedicated to film distribution, which will also see the inclusion of 10 selected Emilia-Romagna producers.
The first event of the day is at 5 p.m. at DAMSLab with Ted Hope's masterclass “Fighting the good fight, keeping the faith. From Independent Cinema to Amazon Studios and Back”, moderated by Biografilm co-artistic director Massimo Benvegnù. The event is free by reservation only, email ingressi@biografilm.com, indicating the name of the event in the subject line.
The night starts at 7:45 p.m. at BIOGRAFILM HERA THEATRE | Pop Up Cinema Arlecchino with Two strangers trying not to kill each other by Jacob Perlmutter e Manon Ouimet, moving and entertaining documentary about an elderly artist couple still in love. Present in the hall are the filmmakers, the producer Signe Byrge Sørensen and the protagonists Maggie Barrett and Joel Meyerowitz, widely known photographer.
Underlining Biografilm's commitment to social inclusion, at 8:00 p.m. at Cinema Lumière - Sala Scorsese there is Being Ola by Ragnhild Nøst Bergem, a sensitive portrait of an exceptional young man who puts his whole heart into the struggle for equality, acceptance and independence. Director and protagonist Ola Henningsen will be present. To follow, the international panel “Representation and Representation of People with Disabilities Behind and on Screens” with Valeria Cotura, Ola Henningsen, Marzia Macchiarella, Ragnhild Nøst Bergem, Anna Petrus, moderated by Giulia Sudano, president and founder of Period Think Tank Bologna.
At 9:00 p.m., at Cinema Lumière - Sala Mastroianni, Il Vangelo secondo Ciretta by Caroline von der Tann, in official selection at Bio to B - Industry Days. The director, producer Antonella di Nocera and the protagonist Ciro Granada will be present.
At Chiostro del Complesso di Santa Cristina "della Fondazza" at 9:30 p.m., Gli italiani e il fumetto by Paolo Caredda opens the Paolo Caredda Tribute to Cathodic Cinema, a section dedicated to the Genoese director who died in 2018, author of numerous documentaries including one on Andrea Pazienza presented at Biografilm 2016. SKY Entertainment Channels director Roberto Pisoni and representatives of Opificio Ciclope will be present.
