CINEVASIONI.edu
The project
If people can’t go to the cinema, then the cinema goes to them!
“Cinevasioni.edu” is a local educational project developed in 2023 within the Cinema and Images for Schools Plan, promoted by the Italian Ministry of Education (MIM) and the Ministry of Culture (MIC).
Cinema is used as therapy and as a tool for well-being and for normalising difficult life conditions. These are the main goals of “Cinevasioni.edu”, a project designed to bring film language and culture into complex contexts such as prisons and hospitals, as well as into schools, opening these spaces to film professionals, trainers, and researchers.
The project includes workshops, film programmes, masterclasses, and discussions with directors and authors. It takes place from February to May 2023 at the Odeon Cinema in Bologna, the Cinema Teatro Don Fiorentini in Imola, the screening room of the Dozza prison, and the Aula Magna of the Maggiore Hospital in Bologna.

The project is conceived and promoted by the Creative Development Centre of the Corso DOC Association in Bologna, which supports, develops, and promotes the audiovisual activities and productions of the Documentary-Filmmaking Course at Liceo Laura Bassi in Bologna.
Alongside Biografilm Festival, key partners include Antoniano (a production centre active in film, TV, and music since 1961, best known for the Zecchino d’Oro TV programme); Bottega Finzioni, a school of writing, film, literature, TV formats, documentaries, and children’s productions founded by Carlo Lucarelli; Media Literacy Network, a network that for over twenty years has involved schools and young people in multimedia production in Italy and Europe; Erebo Produzioni, a music and film start-up from Imola made up of artists and creatives under 30; DAS – Dispositivo Arti Sperimentali, an artistic production space in Bologna designed to embrace the diversity of contemporary art and break down boundaries between disciplines; Liceo Laura Bassi in Bologna; Liceo Scientifico Statale Sabin in Bologna; Polo Liceale Rambaldi Valeriani Alessandro da Imola; Montecatone and Sant’Orsola-Malpighi Hospital Schools; and CPIA Casa Circondariale Rocco D’Amato in Bologna.
The artistic direction of the project is curated by Filippo Vendemmiati, journalist and filmmaker, in collaboration with Biografilm Festival and I Wonder Pictures for the film programming of the screenings.
