Zaynab and Maryam are two sisters who grew up playing soccer in Herat, Afghanistan, where they have played together for years on the city's women's soccer team. When the Taliban return to power in 2021, they both decide to flee. After a dangerous journey from Herat to Kabul, Maryam manages to board an emergency flight to Italy, but Zaynab is stranded in Kabul with her newborn daughter, Helal. The film recounts the drama of their separation, Zaynab's desperation trying to reunite with Maryam and her struggle to obtain a visa, while facing the fear of losing all hope of salvation.
