Room with a View – What Europe Would You Like?

A multimedia exhibition on solidarity and migration

The exhibition stems from a shared reflection process involving students from Bologna and Utrecht (the Netherlands), who were invited to engage with the founding values of the European Union — democracy, hospitality, inclusion, and solidarity — and translate them into a personal visual narrative. The works, curated by artists Cristina Portolano and Chiara Trivelli, are the result of participatory workshops and invite visitors to reflect on what it means to feel “at home” in Europe.

The exhibition unfolds within a symbolic living room, a welcoming domestic space featuring photographs, illustrations, and audiovisual content, designed to foster dialogue and active citizenship, also thanks to the collaboration with Piazza Grande Social Cooperative of Bologna.

The initiative is organized by Archilabò and Biografilm, in collaboration with the Settore Biblioteche e Welfare Culturale del Comune di Bologna | Biblioteca Salaborsa.
