Biografilm Festival confirms its strong connection with the Emilia-Romagna region through a rich presence of regional productions, authors, and audiovisual companies. Eight titles in the program explore stories connected to memory, art, music, and the cultural identity of the territory, many of them supported by the Emilia-Romagna Region through Emilia-Romagna Film Commission and the regional Audiovisual Fund.
- Sguardi in camera by Francesco Corsi and Paolo Simoni, narrated by Milena Vukotic, retraces Italian history through private footage filmed by ordinary citizens themselves. On the occasion of the series presentation, the actress will receive the Celebration of Lives Award 2026.
- Angelo - Il principe del vintage by Francesca Zerbetto explores the world of collector Angelo Caroli, investigating vintage culture as a form of art, memory, and creative reuse.
- Il labirinto by Alberto Gemmi takes audiences into the German military cemetery at the Futa Pass, in a journey through memory, oblivion, and contemporary rituality.
- Good Body - Giuseppe Bertolucci Walking with Eve Ensler by Luisa Grosso follows the staging of a performance inspired by Eve Ensler’s work and reflects on the beauty standards imposed on women.
- Love for Steve. A Film About Steve Grossman by Luisa Grosso retraces the story of the celebrated American saxophonist Steve Grossman and his deep artistic connection with Bologna.
- In gran segreto - Un racconto familiare su Giorgio Bassani by Toni Trupia is an intimate journey into the life of Ferrara-born writer Giorgio Bassani through the memories of his children, Paola and Enrico.
- Super Sic 58 by Alessandro Galluzzi tells the human and sporting legacy of Marco Simoncelli, intertwining the memory of the beloved Romagna motorcycle champion with the solidarity projects born after his passing.
- La vita segreta dei giocattoli by Sara Zavarise and Alexandra D’Onofrio focuses on the educational value of play and creativity.
In addition, from June 8 to 10, Bio to B - Industry Days, Biografilm’s professional market, will highlight Emilia-Romagna talents and productions through showcases, pitching forums, and projects dedicated to documentary and fiction cinema. The program includes works by regional authors and production companies, alongside the new format Docs4Real - Nuovi sguardi sul territorio, created to support emerging under-35 filmmakers connected to the Emilia-Romagna region.
