Emilia Romagna and its cinema protagonists at Biografilm

As many as 10 films involve the Emilia Romagna region within the program of Biografilm - scheduled in Bologna from June 6 to 16, under the artistic direction of Chiara Liberti and Massimo Benvegnù.

“Once again this year Biografilm confirms itself as a launching pad to the world for many films produced in our territory, but also as a landing strip for titles returning home after international recognition - says co-artistic director Massimo Benvegnù - And we cannot forget that many of these projects were born, and others will be born, during our Festival, thanks to the Bio to B meetings, where authors and producers from the territory meet with industry professionals from all over the world. Biografilm's role as a safe place for local filmmakers has been consolidated over the years - also thanks to the work done in parallel with the Region itself and the Emilia Romagna Film Commission - and it fills us with pride.”

Titles that tell the story of the territory or that are produced by companies based in Emilia Romagna are scattered in different sections. Emilia Romagna is not only the setting for Biografilm's stories, but also the Festival's protagonist, with its productive fabric and a wealth of experiences that it helps to flourish and that the Festival can only recount and enhance with its program.
