Doc, Italian Premiere, First Film
The famous soccer player Zlatan Ibrahimovic was born in Malmö, and his hometown decided to erect a statue in his honor. But in December 2019, Ibra's statue had its nose stolen. Despite international outcry, the case remains shrouded in mystery. Two years later, a film crew is tasked with making a true-crime documentary. With the help of detective Claes Ekman, the project turns into a James-Bond-style movie. Part thriller, part comedy, part self-reflective documentary, the film explores the line between reality and fiction, truth and artifice. And it asks a question: how far are we willing to go to turn a story into sensationalist entertainment?
