16 January 2026
From January 21 to 27, 2026, the Sala Incontri on the first floor of Biblioteca Salaborsa hosts the multimedia exhibition “Room with a View – What Europe Would You Like?”, the final event of the Erasmus+ project of the same name, dedicated to the themes of solidarity and migration in Europe.
The exhibition stems from a shared process of reflection involving students from Bologna and Utrecht (the Netherlands), who were invited to engage with the founding values of the European Union — democracy, inclusion, solidarity, and welcoming — and to translate them into a personal visual narrative. Curated by artists Cristina Portolano and Chiara Trivelli, the works are the outcome of participatory workshops and invite visitors to reflect on the meaning of feeling “at home” in Europe.
The exhibition unfolds within a symbolic living room — a domestic and welcoming space featuring images, illustrations, and audiovisual content — designed to foster dialogue and active citizenship, also thanks to the collaboration with the social cooperative Piazza Grande of Bologna.
The exhibition is open to the public free of charge during the library’s opening hours.
School groups may visit by appointment by writing to edu@biografilm.it.
The initiative is curated by Archilabò and Biografilm, in collaboration with the Libraries and Cultural Welfare Department of the Municipality of Bologna | Biblioteca Salaborsa.
