From Biografilm to the Oscars: Mr. Nobody Against Putin Awarded Best Documentary

Following the BAFTA, the Oscar for Best Documentary has also gone to Mr. Nobody Against Putin by David Borenstein and Pasha Talankin

Mr. Nobody Against Putin is about how you lose your country. Working with this footage, we realized that it happens through countless small acts of complicity: when we remain silent while a government murders people on the streets of our major cities, when we say nothing as oligarchs take over the media and control how it is produced and consumed, we are all faced with a moral choice. But fortunately, even a nobody is more powerful than you think,” Borenstein said on stage.

We are proud of this film, which we had the pleasure of screening at Biografilm 2025, and we extend our heartfelt congratulations to the entire team.

A special thanks also goes to the film’s protagonist for the courage he has shown.
