On Wednesday, October 8 at 9:45 a.m., at the Cinema Modernissimo in Bologna, Biografilm will take part in the WeWorld Festival with the presentation of the Erasmus+ project “Room with a View”, during the school matinée “Activism Between Screen and Reality”.
The event will open with the screening of the film Il Pilastro by Roberto Beani (Italy, 2025, 80’), with the director in attendance. A panel discussion will follow, moderated by WeWorld and featuring Marco Trotta (San Donato – San Vitale City Council), Elisa Allieri (WeWorld Academy), Gianni De Giuli (environmental activist) and Chiara Boschiero, Head of Educational Projects at Biografilm, who will present the Room with a View project together with Silvia Zanichelli from Archilabò.
The project was developed by Dutch organizations ClickF1 and KOPA, in collaboration with Archilabò and Biografilm, and involves students aged 16 to 24 from Utrecht and Bologna — specifically from Istituto Keynes in Castel Maggiore and Istituto Scappi in Castel San Pietro Terme.
Under the guidance of artists Cristina Portolano and Chiara Trivelli for Italy and two Dutch artists, the young participants will create a multidisciplinary artistic project exploring active European citizenship and shared values. The results will be showcased in two exhibitions: in Utrecht (from November 17, 2025) and in Bologna (from January 20, 2026) at Biblioteca Salaborsa.
“At the heart of the project is the commitment to ensuring that young people have the autonomy and creative freedom to express their opinions, fostering opportunities for training and international, interdisciplinary dialogue,” explains Chiara Boschiero, Head of Educational Projects at Biografilm.
Through this initiative, Biografilm reaffirms its commitment to promoting film culture and education beyond the festival itself, thanks to the work of the Biografilm Campus department and its network of local and international partners.
