When Russia invades Ukraine, Pavel “Pasha” Talankin, a beloved teacher at a Russian school, is unwillingly drawn into propaganda. Known for his empathy and irony, he is now forced to promote state ideology as his school is transformed: militarized children's groups, repressive laws, students recruited for war.
