The films that will be presented at Biografilm Festival, the Festival that celebrates lives.
Under the artistic direction of Andrea Romeo, the 15th edition of Biografilm Festival – International Celebration of Lives, the annual event that celebrates lives and searches for new paths into the road of filmmaking and international documentary, has just confirmed it will welcome several major titles straight from Cannes Film Festival. The screenings will take place in Bologna, from June 7th to the 17th at the Manifattura delle Arti district and in another 8 cinemas across the city centre of Bologna.
YVES (TUTTI PAZZI PER YVES) by Benoît Forgeard – France

FAMILY ROMANCE, LLC by Werner Herzog – USA
Written and directed by Werner Herzog, this new film follows the story of a man hired to impersonate the late father of a 12 years old little girl. Herzog shoot this film last year in Japan, between Tokyo and Aomori, with only non-professional actors.

During Cannes, Andrea Romeo also announced the Celebration of Lives Award to DOMENICO PROCACCI, one of the greatest producers and cultural strategist in Italy, who discovered some of the most celebrated and appreciated talents of contemporary Italian cinema. Domenico Procacci will be at Biografilm to collect the prize and to meet the young and enthusiastic minds of the students from Biografilm School. This event will be open also to the public.
Biografilm pays tribute to 30 years of Fandango with a selection of critical films for its history and will host special screenings introduced by the filmmakers and directors themselves.
