The new director of Biografilm Festival, Leena Pasanen, has invited Anton Calleja and Jannik Splidsboel to the selection committee of Biografilm Festival 2020.
Anton Calleja has worked in the film industry for 20 years and has managed over 400 projects with Eurimages. He is a consultant for international productions and film funds and has served in numerous film festival juries. Calleja lives in Malta.
Jannik Splidsobel is an award-winning filmmaker who has directed a variety of short films and documentaries, among these "How Are You" and "Misfits" which premiered at Berlin Film Festival. Splidsboel also works as a tutor and producer. He lives in Denmark and in Italy.
“I’m thrilled to have these two experts joining us and I’m very much looking forward to seeing what kind of impact their experience and point of view will have on the selection,” says Pasanen. “Based on the films submitted to us so far, we can expect to have a great edition.”

Fabrizio Grosoli, film critic and journalist, director of Trieste Film Festival,
Alessandro Di Pasquale, senior programmer for Biografilm,
Caterina Mazzucato, Italian programmer for Biografilm and
Charlotte Micklewright, programmer for Biografilm and program advisor for IDFA.
The call for entries for the sixteenth edition of Biografilm Festival is open. The final deadline is 31th March. The festival will take place 5th – 15thJune 2020 in Bologna, Italy.
