Marc, a bipolar and paranoid filmmaker, attempts to finish editing hidden away at his aunt's house in the Cevennes to safeguard his new film from interference by producers. But completing the work becomes complicated because he himself gets in the way, creating constant distractions and continually postponing the work in a succession of events that are at times disturbing and at times hilarious.
