"This is my apocalypse. It's my prophecy. It's everything." His new painting is everything. Everything he was destined for. Charlie Paul's new documentary follows the artist Peter Howson step by step during the creation of his great apocalyptic painting. And while the blank canvas is filled with dozens of figures, Howson talks about himself: his nightmares and hopes, his faith and his demons pour into the painting like a rain of furious brushstrokes. Peter Howson's creative universe is chaotic, brutal, emotional and even exasperating, the painter provokes the viewer by putting him in front of what the artist calls a kind of beauty that is not reassuring, much more dangerous than the one we are used to.
