by Beniamino Barrese

Biografilm Italia

(Italy / 2019 / 90’)

An iconic 60's model, immortalised in the shots of Richard Avedon and Irving Penn. Muse of Andy Warhol and Dalí, feminist militant and mother, journalist and university professor. At the age of 75, Benedetta Barzini is tired of the roles that life has forced her to play and wants to leave everything behind to reach a distant place where she can never be found again. Worried, her son Beniamino decides to make a film about her, which can pass on her memory, but also help her to grab her freedom. In an attempt to find his mother and at the same time let her go, the director signs a universal testimony: a fresh and stimulating directing debut that stays forever in the heart and in the eyes.
