"The problem is we're neither dead nor alive." May 2016. A refugee camp is the place where, for a whole year, people question the meaning of time, waiting for a God who won't show up. Captured in layered, complex paintings , surrounded by a time that stretches and swallows everything surrounding it. There are those who write poems, those who narrate their escape from a blazing Iran, those who start cooking with the very few tools at their disposal. Tired eyes that seek sleep, sharp eyes telling stories that make the world tremble. A brutal Waiting for Godot of our days, whose protagonists wander in a no man's land, in a metaphorical perennial limbo.
