They say the greatest of feelings is friendship. Alessandro, a young filmmaker, and Casey, reporter for Al Jazeera, know it well. They met in Rome but since then they lived apart: Casey is always travelling around the world, looking for new stories to capture with his camera. Despite their distance, the two friends were never really separated: in fact, it’s “Ale” who collected Casey’s precious frames. Through their relationship, from sharing an apartment in Italy to video-calls on Skype, The Things We Keep is a pure hymn to friendship that also offers some evidences about Contemporary History. Through such a sincere bond, the film demonstrates how there are no boundaries that are too impossible to overcome.
