“Art is life and life is art”. This is the motto of Peter Greenaway, one of the most eclectic filmmakers in the contemporary cinema. Saskia Boddeke, media artist and the director’s wife, enters in his husband’s mind. Greenaway’s creativity is framed in a conversation with his teenage daughter Zoë, who through an ironic conversation, put together and in an alphabetical order his father’s dearest concepts about life. “A as Amsterdam”, says Mr. Greenaway, but also “A as Autistic” replays Zoë. His daughter’s questions strike him at the heart, allowing Saskia to draw a unique portrait: about a visionary genius, but especially about a man and his battle against time.
