“There is no land where there aren’t saints”. Rostom is a night shelter for homeless people and among its hallways, in the middle of the night, you can hear this melancholy song. The shelter’s guests sing the famous Bennato’s lyric: they are homeless who every night find a place to stay in this dorm in Bologna. The characters of this film tell the stories of their lives, through hundreds of cigarettes, confessions, hopes, nightmares and too many regrets. David, a lone wolf, leads the group, sharing not only his memories but also the ones of his friends: a group of men and women left behind in this world and sentenced to live in a limbo, always waiting for something else.
