Fischer come simbolo di una intera generazione: così ha scelto di raccontarcelo il regista Danquart, mettendolo in confronto serrato con le immagini della Storia, che ne ha fatto uno dei protagonisti politici dell’unione europea.

   

  Green activist and political leader, Joschka Fischer is a contemporary witness and actor in the controversial history of his country, Germany, from the 1950s through today. Director Pepe Danquart chose to tell Fischer's story, as symbol of an entire generation, making a sharp comparison with written History which puts him among the political protagonists of the European Union.

Un progetto lungo 38 anni, che è una conversazione sul cinema: una riflessione sulla nascita del documentario moderno che coinvolge tra gli altri Langlois, Drew, Pennebaker e Godard.

   

  From friend and student Jane Weiner comes an homage to the British filmmaker Richard Leacock, who changed the face of the documentary moving away from conventionality and the search for the perfect image. A portrait of one of the fathers of Direct Cinema. This project 38 years in the making, is a conversation about cinema: a reflection on the birth of the modern documentary which included among others Langlois, Drew, Pennebaker and Godard.

  Jason Becker: Not Dead Yet

Queste sono le caratteristiche di Jason Becker, virtuoso chitarrista heavy metal e fondatore del gruppo musicale Cacophony, al quale la Sclerosi Laterale Amiotrofica (SLA) stronca la promettente carriera e il futuro a soli 21 anni. Contro ogni probabilità, Becker non si arrende e continua a lottare ancora oggi contro la sua malattia riuscendo, straordinariamente, a comporre musica.

   

  Dedicated, stubborn, genius. Jason Becker, heavy metal guitar virtuoso who in 1986 started the band Cacophany, was stricken with Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) cutting his promising career and music dreams at 21 years old. Becker however refused to give up and against all odds and with very limited corporeal abilities found a way to continue to make music.

  The Search For Michael Rockefeller

  1961, dopo la laurea ad Harvard, il rampollo dei Rockefeller, parte per la Nuova Guinea e scompare. Anni dopo una spedizione guidata dal giornalista Milt Machlin (ideatore del “triangolo delle Bermuda” e di “Bigfoot”) parte alla sua ricerca. Il materiale girato in mezzo ad una popolazione nativa, forse cannibale, è stato ritrovato dal figlio di Charlton Heston, Fraser, che ne ha tratto un documentario appassionante.

   

  In 1961, after graduating from Harvard, the young Michael Rockefeller youngest son of the famous New York Governor leaves for New Guinea never to be seen again. Years later an expedition lead by journalist Milt Machlin (who coined "Bermuda Triangle" and "Bigfoot") is launched in his search. The footage taken from this island inhabited by natives suspected of cannibalism, was recently discovered by Fraser Heston, son of the famous Hollywood actor. What results is an enthralling documentary of adventure and mystery commensurate with something written by Conrad.

Je-Je e Woo-yeong si conoscono ormai da 7 anni e l’amore che provano l’uno per l’altro li spinge al matrimonio: una scelta difficile per una coppia di persone che hanno difficoltà a vivere autonomamente. Miglior documentario al Festival di Pusan 2011, Sea of Butterfly è tra le più belle storie d’amore mai raccontate.

   

  For a person with disabilities even simple everyday tasks can be extremely challenging. Je-Je and Woo-yeong have known each other for seven years, and the love they have for one another has led them to get married: a brave choice for for two people who have difficulties living autonomously. Winner of 'Best Documentary' at the Busan International Film Festival 2011, Sea of Butterfly is one of the most beautiful love stories committed to film.
